Thank you to all the past, present and future students that made us successful for 21 years.
It is hard to believe that in December of 1995 we took the keys for the Silverton Dojo.

It was a  great honor to the opportunity to train with Arakaki Sensei from Okinawa.

On June 19th 2015, A long time friend of our dojo was killed in the line of duty.

To me, he was Sensei Sonny Kim. To those that now mourn him, he was Officer Sonny Kim. He was a husband, father of 3 teenage boys, brother, friend and mentor.

I first met Sensei Kim when he came to the dojo to train with my karate teacher more that 20 years ago.
Throughout those 2 decades, we stayed in touch. Sometimes by accident when I would receive a random text. Other times, he would stop into the dojo while on duty to check on us.
He was a kind and caring person that was always ready to offer a helping hand or advice if needed.
I will miss my Sensei and feel honored to have know him.
